Two & a Half Months

My baby is getting so big so fast. He really is a happy boy. Bryan and I were talking about how good he has been with all the moving and craziness of our life right now. I am glad he is so good and happy or else I would I would be an even bigger mess. I am hoping I can get a photo for a birth announcement soon.

Speech

Today was Lil A's last day of speech with Ms Sylvia. We have had such a good experience and he can speak so much better now. We will miss her.

Swimming

Instead of packing we stayed at my parents's house so the boys could swim one more day. There has to be a little fun in all the chaos of packing/moving.
Ryan was great and got in with them.

As I post this, we are waiting at the doctor. Ah, moving and doctor's appointments, aren't you jealous.

Reunion

The day after school got out, I loaded up the kids, picked up Katie and Ryan from my parents' and we headed to Zion's for the big reunion, supposedly the last one for the huge family (my grandpa's siblings' posterity is all invited). We left later than I had planned but with 4 boys and no husband (he was on his way to a scout backpacking trip in the Sierra's), you get what you get and I try not to throw a fit.
It was a busy 2 days at the reunion and 2 traveling days. Why do I think traveling with kids is easy?
Thankfully, my family was extremely helpful or else I probably would have not been able to go. We (and by we I mean Beebe) were in charge of the kids' water games on Friday. I have no photos of that but I know others do, hopefully I will get some. While that was happening adults were in the pavilion listening to family members talk. I am sad I missed out on that but with 3 of my 4 kids playing in the water... then it was lunch. Then canoeing, horseshoes, air hockey, Ultimate Frisbee, volleyball (which none of us played)... I can't think of the other things since I was sitting with a baby and a prego lady for a lot of that. Dinner and then back to the cabin to let the kids swim and then the easiest bedtime I had had in a long time.
The next morning the 3 "big" boys (my 2 oldest plus Elizabeth's oldest) went mini golfing with my mom, my dad took the May twins (my #3 and Elizabeth's #2) to the playground and then Jill joined the playground people with Hyrum. When they got back we went into Zion's and took a "hike" but had to go pretty fast to be back in time for the photo. After the photo was dinner. Then it was dancing and a slide show. Then another easy bedtime. Played a few rounds of Phase 10 because we had to play games and we hadn't had a chance.
I woke up really early, got the car ready and we were on our way home by 7:30am. Have I mentioned how much I hate Vegas traffic? We didn't even have that much but just enough to remind me why I insisted on leaving so early.

It was a great reunion. Thank you Sally for planning it. When is the Walt Sr Reunion?

End of Kindergarten

I have had such a great experience with sending my first born to school. I cried the first day and I cried at the end. His teachers were so great. We have a DVD of photos from throughout the year that Mrs. Geoghagen made for all the kids. I am really sad that we won't be going back next year. But we do things we don't always want to but is what is best. Hopefully we will have a good experience next year.

Here are some photos from their indoor picnic after the Kindergarten Carnival.

wanted a photo taken of the spider on his cheek
the teachers are good to share the treats with my boys and to compliment on on well-behaved they are (see one more reason I want to stay)

Reading Oh The Places You'll Go. I got a little teary-eyed during this. we can blame it on just having a baby, right?
With his 2 of his best buds in class
more friends, he was quite popular, I was told by his teacher.
he was afraid to ask for a photo with her so I had to ask on our way out and his other teacher had already left

"backin-ng"

This kid LOVES to vacuum. He likes cleaning in general but vacuuming is his favorite. I wish they would stay in the enjoy cleaning stage forever.

Lil A Birthday Party

The Saturday before Lil's A birthday, we had his birthday party. The last T-ball game of the season was that morning too, with a pizza party afterward. Needless to say, it was a busy day. I enjoyed myself and just wish I had a bigger house good thing the weather was nice and Mike was able to take all 3 big boys to the park ALONE (thanks again Mike, I know they had a great time).

Lil A is great at fabulous facial expressions.

So with the busy day on Saturday, I didn't have enough time to make his cake. We did have a yummy red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting from CostCo (thanks Mom).
But it was requested (by Bryan) that I make the cake on Sunday. Rainbow Cake with a spider on top.

First day

This is what happened while I was feeding the baby on my first day alone with 4 boys. Big A was at school when I took these photos but I was feeding the baby as I took these photos (I had Lil A bring me the camera). Yes, Toddler i is in baby B's bed. We have a child-proof door knob thingy on our bedroom door now. And so far he has not figured them out but I am sure he will have it figured out soon enough.

Baby B Bath

baby B had his first sponge bath at home on Tuesday or Wednesday after we came home. I really cannot remember what day but I do know that Big A was at school when it happened so we had to wash his hair again when he was around to see it and he really wanted him to pee all over again.

I LOVE Lil A's face in the photo below. It just is the perfect facial expression for how I think all the boys feel about baby B. Thanks again Mom for taking such great photos so I could help with the squirming, slippery baby.
