We reinacted the Nativity story and since Bryan & I were the only married sibling around we were nominated to be Mary & Joseph.

Notice the belly (it is a bike helmet).

Austin didn't really like being baby Jesus.

Mom was the angel, Jill and Matt were Shepards. Matt had a few different roles: the Star, a sheep, and a shepard. (He has forbidden me from posting sheep pictures)

Adam was a shepard that didn't listen to the angel but followed the crowd to see baby Jesus (he also used his walking stick as a weapon).

Katie looks like an elf (that's why I posted this picture). Isn't she cute?

Austin abandoned his role and I had to wad up the swaggling clothes.
We started our Christmas Eve festivies with our Mexican Fiesta, which was delicious. Then the Nativity, then singing Christmas songs at the piano and my kids went to bed during the singing. We played Settlers of Zarahemla. All in all, we had a great Christmas Eve.

I didn't know Baby Jesus used a binkie! And poor Bryan had to have a fitted sheet! Looks so fun, sorry we missed it, and playing Settlers after.
You look a little too natural when you are being all mothery. I am not sure I am ready to make the step to picture little Karin all mothery, even with all the photos you post of your cutie pies.
Awww!
Bike helmets are great and all, but you really should have flown me in for the role - I'm a natural!
Mom makes the best angel I've ever seen, and I do love Katie's elfishness and Matt's many roles.
I forgot to mention on my blog that on Christmas Eve we had dinner and went caroling with our ht & his family. We also reenacted the nativity, and I was going to be Mary, but in the end we had two Marys, one 5yo and one 3yo, because they both wanted to ride the rocking "donkey". I was a shephard.
I forgot to mention how much I love Adam's shepherding, following the crowd, using his shephard bowstaff. I also just love your look of surprise and delight with the frankencense.
