I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Our church starts at 2PM, so Bryan got up with the boys and woke me up when my French Toast was ready (and had a cold Diet Coke next to my plate). Then I helped with putting lotion on the boys after their shower and then I just got myself ready for church: painted my toe nails, showered, straightened my hair. Church was nice because we actually sat on a bench instead of the chairs in the back (we were 15 minutes early- the week before we were 10 minutes early and were still on the chairs). The speakers were great, especially the Bishop's wife, and then the Primary children and YM/YW sang. Relief Society was nice too. I sat next to a new girl, the YW were invited to RS (so we got to say the theme which is different than when I was in there), the lesson was on influential women and a YW & 2 ladies were asked to speak a little on the most influential woman in their life. In Nursery, the boys made "finger flowers" for me, they used their fingers for the petals.
Bryan cleaned up: dishes and vacuuming. Bryan made dinner and a cake with the boys. EVERYBODY came for dinner: Mom & Dad, Mike, Matt, Jill & Andy, Katie & Ryan. Yes, there was 12 people in our apartment. It was nice, I am glad they were all able to come. We gave Mom her presents, which she liked for those of you that contributed but were not here to see. Then Dad and Mike stayed to watch the Basketball game with Bryan and everyone else went home. Bryan got me a duvet cover and something is coming, maybe on Wednesday. I will post a picture when I get the something else and when my bed is "complete." The boys got me this book, I am really excited to read it (I will let everyone know how wonderful it is).
How was your Mother's Day? I am really wanting to know, please post.

Ann got that book last week for her book club. She read it, then I read it, then Mary read 1/2 of it before the book club. It is NOT a long, difficult read at all. Your mother's day sounds wonderful and like a lot of work for Bryan. What a great guy! For mother's day, I am getting a water table for our back patio, but I think we'll wait to be in the house before we get it. I guess Tyler was razzed at work for it, but I think it is fantastic because I can tell Con, "Go play outside" and get stuff done or just scapbook, which I cannot usually do when my helper who loves paper is awake. I'll let you know how it goes.
That's a great book! It's a "be a good mom" book without making you feel guilty for all the things you aren't doing.
I'll post about Mother's Day for you.
all done Karin!
Andy? Ryan? What the heck is going on over there on the left coast? I talk to you often enough Karin, and I don't appreciate being left out on this one.
I think it is both funny and nasty that you had diet coke with french toast.
Emily, you are definitely the pot calling the kettle black with your chocolate milk and enchiladas. Liz and I are still so appalled at that food choice of your's and Phil's.
I had chocolate milk with the French toast and diet coke later, it was just nice that my family KNOWS what I like.
Wow, you sure got spoiled and you deserved every bit of it!! Don't you wish everyday was mothers day!!
I want to read that book! Maybe I'll have to get in when we're in Utah this summer!
You know Jane Clayson grew up in my ward. Her family used to live around the corner from my family and now her father is married to one of our closest family friends. I'm going to tell you a little secret about the Claysons, they are a little wacky, (actually, that is a nice way of saying that they are all completely crazy)
