**The first of many posts**
Sunday (the 4th) Bryan and I headed to the hospital thinking that it was going to be like the other 2 boys- somewhat fast and NO C-Section. I like to plan everything and thought I had this all planned out- go to hospital, have baby within a few hours, stay at hospital for 24 hours, recover quickly (like after Lil A) and be on "normal" routine before the week was over. Boy, was my plan totally wrong. I never thought a C-Section would even be a possibility, but Baby I was trying to come out feet first and since I had toast before leaving for the hospital, I had about 3 hours to worry about having a C-Section. My nurse was great, Bryan said she reminded him of Jamy (maybe that is why I liked her so much). Mom came down and spent a couple of hours with me before I was taken away- it is a much different feeling being the patient, I looked at the instruments very differently.
I did not really enjoy the experience but now I can honestly say, it is much harder to recover from a C-Section and I was not apart of the birth. I couldn't see what was going on, my neck hurt and I couldn't really move my arms because they were stretched out on the arm boards. In my Recovery room, I was really hot and could not have anything to eat or drink (because I would throw-up- I did later in my room after 2 sips of apple juice, my nurse warned me but I am stubborn). And it was almost 24 hours before I was allowed to walk and now that it has been a week and a half, I have noticed the numbness around my incision- YUCK! A few nice things about this delivery, they were really accommodating for the Dads (roll-away bed, meals, and a "pantry" where Bryan could get food/drinks whenever) and our last meal they tried to give us 3 trays of food because they thought we had a visitor, and all of my nurses were really great (the night nurses would take Baby I for 3-4 hours so we could get some sleep- I don't think he would have kept us awake though). Bryan's mom was able to stay with the older boys while we were at the hospital and helped after we came home, which was great because I was really out of it- my sense of time was off when we came home (I thought it was the weekend and it was Tuesday).
But out of all the badness of a C-Section, I have a beautiful baby boy, who is really good and lets me sleep (most nights) for 5-6 hours straight. He gives me the biggest smiles and endures all the love his big brothers give to him. So the C-Section was worth it to have him but if I had a choice I would not have chosen a C-Section.

I'm just glad everyone is okay, which is what's most important. Baby I is very cute and looks like his brothers. Anita, Em, and Beebe all like their c-sections. I guess it all depends on what you did first. Thanks for posting. : )
I agree c sections are no fun. But totally worth it to have healthy baby. Congratulations!
Yay you are posting!! I am so glad that you are all safe and sound. I am also glad that we got to see baby I...but I will not be satisfied until I hold him for a long time. Maybe we can do lunch next week!! We miss you guys!!
Great pictures, and a beautitul baby. C-sections are the pits (I had them with both of my boys) but it is worth having a healthy baby. Congratulations on boy #3, I'm sure you will have lots of help with him.
Yay, baby blog! I've been waiting for a blog about the baby. He is so cute. Let me know when you're up to do something. I feel so out of the loop.
Adorable! I'm excited already to hold him in July!
Baby I is beautiful and I love the picture of all 3 boys! I've heard c-sections take a while to recover from - I hope you get back to your regular routine soon. How wonderful that he lets you sleep that long at night - good baby!
Glad to see more pics! I don't envy you at all with the c-section. Now you have me worried to even think about having another. My 2 were easy deliveries and I DON'T ever want a c-section.... Hopefully he gave you all the "stress" with pregnancy and delivery and now he'll be the perfect baby/child! Lucky you with the sleeping! Can't wait to see more posts!
Way to go! The 2nd C is not so bad. But you'll go for a vbac, won't ya. Little I is adorable! "Such a cute little guy" to quote Con.
I feel the same way about my third! I thought third baby piece of cake well have a baby by Lunch. I ended up with an emergency c section too. I completely agree that it is much easier to recover from v birth compared to a c section, it's a much longer recovery. I am glad you had family to help with the kids. Your boys are so handsome! I am glad you were able to get your sweet little package safe and sound! Luv ya Becky
Almost forgot, love his little hat!
Baby I is so cute, thanks for putting up pics. So sucky about the c-section that does not sound good.
I've been waiting for word on the baby. Yeah! I'm sorry it wasn't as planned. I had 4 c-sections--not too fun. Email me the info on the baby--especially what "I" stands for. I'm dying to know his name. Congrats to your family.
Congrats on the new baby. The had on Little I looks like a bowler until you look closer and see it is a knit hat. They should make more bowler hats for babies.
Happy to see the adorable pics of your precious boys! Glad you have plenty of family to help you out while you recover. Life throws all kinds of curves, it makes you stronger in the long run.
Toast? huh?
I love the picture of you just before the c-sec. It looks like you're glaring.
I puked too. Do people not puke during vaginal births?
I love the hospital food and service, too. The other night I was thinking I'd like to go out to eat to Rex Hospital (which is where we had H). Guess I'm a few months ahead of myself.
He is a sweet little guy. Congrats. Hope your healing well.
Wow. Bless your heart. That would be really hard for me. You seem to have adapted well. And he is healthy so that's all that matters ! :) What a cute family.
He is darling....
I haven't checked blogs for ages! I'm finally in Utah...yeah! Little I is beautiful. The pics are great. Can't wait to see more. I pray I don't have to have a C-section ever 'cause it just doesn't sound like fun. Wish I could go to Disneyland tomorrow and see you again. Miss you...HUGS!!!!
Super Cute! I hope your feeling better soon!
