I have tried to keep blogging (very sporadically) sort of journaling but Instagram has made it really easy to think that is documentation enough. But after going through Instagram last night, it is good for a quick photo and maybe there is an explanation or there isn't because I don't need everyone who follows on Instagram to know everything or even just that we had a really fun family trip for spring break or that we went to dinner or we were in Houston this past weekend. But I have decided that I need to actually document my life since I have a horrible (HORRIBLE) memory.
Since my last blog post (over a year ago!):
Julia was born! Her story deserves its own post.
Benjamin started playing soccer in the fall of 2014.
Isaac's rec team (the lions) started playing up (they are U7 but play U8) in the fall of 2014 and he practices with the Evolution team, which is a select soccer team but since they play games on Sunday, he just practices with them...even with the constant asking if we "still don't do Sunday play?" Right now, Isaac practices 3 days a week and would play more if he could.
Austin and Adam both play soccer and are involved in scouts.
Adam is going to play the trumpet in band next year.
We got a piano and the boys have started tinkering on it. I need to figure out a piano teacher for them.
Benjamin is learning letters and numbers so I will feel okay with him leaving me for kindergarten in the fall.
Luke has recently stopped sleeping in the crib, despite my attempts and keeping him there forever.
Benjamin pretty much potty trained himself at 2 1/2 years old.
And Luke potty trained himself (with just a little encouragement from me...very little, I could have waited a few more months) at just over 2 1/2 years old.
Luke is possibly going to start playing soccer in the fall.
I am back in nursery after teaching the 13 year old Sunday school class. (I love Nursery!)
Bryan is the Elders' Quorum President, this is really new. After being with the deacons and scouting for the past 8 years, I think it is a big change for him but don't question his ability to handle the calling and still keep a great balance between work, church, and family. He just needs to "turn on" his social side more :)
The front of the house is getting worked on.
We have living room furniture. A couple more pieces and the room will be complete.
We got a new washer and dryer. I was afraid that the old ones wouldn't last much longer and with 6 kids, I need a reliable washer and dryer almost as much as I need a reliable car.
We bought a mini van. I know. But I love it.
Bryan took a job with a firm in Dallas. I'm hoping it is a good fit.
Hopefully, this little update isn't the only update. Hopefully I can keep journaling and documenting our life and random things going on. I read a blog where she blogs her "UPs" for the day, to help her look for the positive. I might try to do that too, to help find positive things in my days. I really enjoy being a mom but it isn't really a job that gets a lot of compliments or positive feedback and definitely no pay check to show how much you are worth. I think documenting the positive will be fun.

It's great that you have picked up the Blog again. Love reading of your adventures! The Ups of the day/week is a great idea.
I agree it's easy to forget, I've tried to pick up on it too no that school is over, it's nice to keep up with the Browns!
