Tent Fun

Adam has been "making" tents lately. Okay, he really tries to do it and then I help him. He also has been laying blankets (or boxes) on the floor and running across them. He stacks pillows and blankets everywhere and jumps from them, onto them, whatever. Austin, again, has to do everything that Adam does but he is small and cannot do everything LIKE Adam and gets frustrated.

IT'S OFFICIAL

I recently received an e-mail notifying me that I am certified to graduate (passed all my classes) and to take the Texas bar. Life just got a little better.

the different FACES of ADAM

Adam likes to growl so capturing it with the camera was an obvious decision. The second photo is of him taking a picture with his hands (normally he does this with whatever he has in his hands but most recently he has found an camera that we no longer use). He is posing for the next 2 photos while drinking his juice with hand on hip. We tried to have him smile for the pictures but he refused and pretended to continue drinking after he was done until we quit taking pictures.

Uh-Oh!

Austin's "new" thing is saying uh-oh (kind of). Bryan saw it tonight and had to capture it with the camera. It is good that we capture these cute moments for me to remember so I don't remember the tantums that he throws (copy cat to older brother).

Splash Park June 28, 2006

For a few weeks we were going to the Splash Park pretty regularly. If you go around 5pm, there is virtually no one there. That is a plus when Austin thinks that he is big kid and big kids don't notice him because he is still really little. It is nice when H comes and watches Austin for me because then people don't come up to me and say rude things like "whose ever baby that is, I have already brought him down and he is probably going to go back up there" (near the trash can but they make it sound like he is headed to the parking lot or the busy street).
He loves to be in the water and his brother likes to play with water guns (filling them up at the drinking fountain). There is a photo of me filling up the water gun, but it is very unflattering as I did not know a picture was being taken. We will be going to the Splash Park tomorrow for a HUGE Visiting Teaching Potluck. Hopefully I will remember my camera, I have been quite forgetful lately.

my water

Austin is pretty sneaky and if I had not been taking pictures of this event, I probably would have given Austin the water bottle when he screamed when Adam held onto it. But instead I made Austin let go and he decided he did not want to be on the little sofa (I think the only reason he even sat down was to get that water). They went to bed soon after these photos were taken, so I was as happy as Austin is in the last photo.

"It's My Water Baby"

I can't remember what he ate but it was everywhere, so Bryan stripped him down and he climbed into the sink. It was a fight when we took him out. He loves the water.

Crib or No Crib?

Adam started climbing out of the crib and he ended up in bed with Austin. Then he figured out how to climb out and be out of any bed.

So Adam and Austin have switched beds, Adam is now in the portable crib. Hopefully Austin won't figure out how to climb out soon, at least not until I am ready for Adam to be in a big boy bed.

Whose Shoes Are Those?

While Adam had these on, and I was taking pictures of him wearing them, Bryan was inside searching the house for them.

Godzilla?

Adam found this the other day, put it on and was crawling around on the floor and growling. Bryan came home from school, I told him about how cute he was and he tried to reinact it. Adam refused, so he had Austi wear it and he LOVED it. He loved it so much that some of these photos are from the 2nd and 3rd time of it being put on him. He walks a little more wobbly than he already does because it is top heavy (and I don't want any comments about how he is already really top heavy).

AZ in June

We went to AZ for Todd & Melissa's wedding on June 8th. I am just now getting around to posting photos from the trip. Aside from the wedding, we really didn't take many pictures. Joseph (Laura's son) is under the TV with the boys. Notice my skirt, I have received many compliments on it, Bryan picked it out. I picked out everybody else's outfits :)

Funny Kids

I don't remember where we went (probably Wal-Mart) but this hat was in the car. Adam found it, put it on and wore it for quite some time.
This is what Bryan and I walked into while trying to load the car to go to AZ. We put the jeep inside while we were gone, the boys took it as an invite to get in and drive inside.
This is Adam with the hat after riding in the car. Notice the lovely outfit, it was and still is in the high 90's and low 100's.

Austin's Activity Table

Since we were going to be in AZ for Uncle Todd's wedding, Bryan decided that we should open Austi's present from Grandma & Grandpa Stewart early. The boys had a great time with the present, even before it was out of the box.
They even enjoyed the train before it was out of the plastic.
I keep having to remind Adam that Austin is sharing is present with him and not him sharing with Austi. Austin has turned the phone that comes with it into a weapon, hitting Adam on the head until I take it away. Great Gift! Thanks Gma & Gpa.

My little Copy Cat

Austin has to do everything his older brother does. He had to wait until Adam was in bed before playing with the carrot golf club, which has been made into a favorite weapon or block launcher. Austi played with this until he was put into bed.
His new favorite "monkey" trick is to climb onto the fireplace. I have placed things on top of and in front of the fireplace and he STILL finds a way to get up there. I also have tightened the straps on the highchair because he figured out how to get out of those too. I guess he just wants to keep up with Adam, what is a mom to do?

HAPPY Memorial Day

The Christensens came up to Waco and spent Memorial Day with us. We met them at the Mayborn Children's Museum and spent a few hours showing them around. After the museum, they came over for dinner. It was great to spend time with them before they go to Utah for 2 months.

Austin and Adam normally don't play in this part of the World room, Adam likes to play with the instruments and tools in the other section of the room.

Adam and Brayden play really well together. Even though Brayden will be 3 in July, the rough housing and just being boys is cute to watch.
Austi working the pulleys.
Adam can make anything into a microphone. He loves to sing, "la, la, la."
Austin loves spending time on the firetruck at the museum with his Daddy.
Adam driving the School Bus with Kyler catching a ride.
Adam driving the fire truck, but refused to pose for the camera wearing the hat.
Adam and Brianna lifting the weights in the pulley room.
Christina blowing on the bubble wall in the water room.
Adam and Brayden playing in the water with the boats. They had to fight crowds of older kids for their spot the entire time we were in the room.
Brianna blowing on the bubble wall, she got some pretty big bubbles before the wall popped.

*For those of you who don't know the Christensens, Dayna (mom of these cute kids) is Bryan's cousin.*
