What I Really Want For Christmas?

The boys watched Polar Express (one of their favorite movies: trains, Christmas, trains) before church today. As Santa came on the screen,
Big A: Santa, I see Santa!
Karin: That is Santa! What do you want for Christmas this year?
Big A looking away from me toward the screen, mumbles something
Karin: What?
Big A looking at me: UM... a house! (smiling very big)
It is interesting to hear the thing my child really wants, or maybe it is because that is what he hears his parents talk about.

That's great! ;) I'm sure you got a good laugh out of that one! Why are kids excited for Christmas already? Briel was talking about what she wants for Christmas this week, too! Ahhh! I don't even want to think about that stuff yet!

Is he going to get his wish?

I hope Big A gets a house...that would be an awesome present! Jacob has been talking about Santa since Xmas was over. He sings Jingle Bells at least once a week. I actually think it is kind of cute...but I'm crazy!

I'm thinking about Christmas already, too! Now that it's after birthdays here at our house, whenever someone asks for something at the store, I say "Put it on your Christmas list!"

Hailey did the same thing today. I was talk about how I needed to pick up the house today. Then I asked Hailey what she wanted to do today. She said, clean the house. I thought it was really cute. But when it came to cleaning the house she didn't want to help much.

Preston has also been talking about Santa. One of his favorite books for me to read is about Santa. How funny!

I think he either is parroting you or he means a playhouse like at Grandpa Stewart's house. Just my opinion....
